Today was the first of a four day wine tasting event being held in Athens. I must admit, I've never been to a bigger or more organized wine tasting....ever. There must have been 1000's of wines available and many very eager wine makers ready to assist. It was a fantastic day of learning and tasting. One of my favorite wineries, Palivou (pictured at left) had a fun new wine available for tasting that usually goes for around 100 Euro per bottle. It was made from three different varietals, two from 2005 and one from 2006. Delicious!
