Rain, Rain Go Away

Newsflash: It's not always sunny and warm in Greece. Actually, according to weather.com the forecast in Athens isn't that different from the forecast in Omaha right now. Even though we're both at about 60 degrees with rain, not all rain/thunderstorms are created equal. For example, anytime a car attempts to go up Aristodimou Street we get to hear the sound of spinning tires on the wet and worn pavement for at least 5 seconds. We also get the added adventure of trying not to fall down on the slippery wet marble sidewalks that are plentiful in Athens. Finally, ships heading to the Greek Isles will not operate if the wind it too strong. Rob and I were scheduled to head out for our island adventure today, but because of the forecast we moved our reservations and will now head out on Thursday morning. We plan to explore four islands including Syros, Tinos, Delos, and Mykonos. Stay tuned for more information later this week!
